About Us

We provide quality custom-cut lumber at a fair price as well as other logging and milling services. We also create custom lumber to suit any and all of your wants and needs. As an independently owned business, we take pride in what we do, how we do it, and what we sell to our clients.

Our goal is to provide our clients with an environmentally friendly option when purchasing quality lumber, interior and exterior lumber and custom pieces. This in turn helps sustain our natural environment. Every tree recovered through our Urban Timber Recovery Program potentially saves one tree from being removed from the natural environment.

Our logs are not locally retired landscape trees, but second-growth “select” grade, from the Santa Cruz Mountains. These logs feature minimal taper, minimal sapwood, tight growth rings and unusual clarity.

Our Specialty

Redwood is eighty percent of what we produce. We frequently cut Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pine as well, which are in abundance 200 miles northeast of the Creston Sawmill location. Redwood is our specialty, and Redwood logs are always in stock. Variations from the norm include: Monterey Pine, Digger Pine, Cedar, Cypress, Poplar, Red Oak, White Oak and Black Walnut. We also mill whatever the customer brings us, such as Cherry, Adler, Deodar Cedar, as well as salvaged beams and timbers to be resawn.

New Addition to the Mill Yard- Air Shed specifically constructed to accelerate air drying 

We have constructed a full-flow louvered air shed to facilitate the air drying lumber while protecting it from both sun and rain. The arid climate of the Creston area 6 months of the year has given great results in the use of the shed.

For a small charge, we will store your lumber after it is milled. The air shed is also for hire for outside supplied lumber, and will store lumber up to 24’ in length. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions about your custom project.
